WHAT TO WEAR?

Clothing is a key part of the design process when creating a portrait that you will treasure.

White, bone & pastels are perfect for lighter backgrounds.

Casual clothes work well outdoors.

Children usually don't need make-up.

Avoid eye-catching patterns, colors and prints. Solids work best.

Clothing should compliment and not dominate the portrait.

Hair should be in a style you are comfortable with. Avoid new cuts or styles.

Make-up should look natural. You might want to bring some for touch ups.

Remember...simple is best.

Men should shave just prior to the portrait session.

Avoid clothes that restrict movement but are not bulky.

Adults should select 3/4 length or long sleeves.

Try not to use bright colors like red and yellow as they tend to dominate the picture.

Tone on tone makes the subjects pop. Examples: White on white, cream on cream, black on black.

Jewel tones work great in the right situation.
